Jennifer Hudson Writing Book About Her Dramatic Weight Loss
Jennifer Hudson, the Oscar winner, American Idol contestant-turned-superstar has now donned the hat of a writer as she gears up to launch her book, shedding details on how she managed to loose up to 80 lbs (36 kg). signed a deal to pen a memoir about her dramatic, 80-pound weight loss
The book deal has been finalized with Dutton Publishers, an imprint of Penguin Group and is expected to be released in January 2012 while the title of Hudson’s book remains to be decided.
According to Dutton,
“The book will detail the 29-year-old singer’s experience growing up in an environment where healthy living was not a priority," in addition to her experience of gaining and losing weight while competing on Idol.
Hudson was dubbed as "the big girl" while running as a contestant on season 3 of "American Idol," and had to transformed her body for her Oscar-winning turn as Effie in "Dreamgirls" by putting on more than 20 lbs (9 kg).
However, later she signed on as a Weight Watchers spokeswoman managed to dramatically reduce herself from a size 16 to a size 6.
According to a recent interview with People Hudson said,
"I’m in the best shape of my life!"
Also, she has stated,
"In my head, I am still the same weight I was before, It takes a while to get used to it."
