How To Write A Wedding Announcement

/script

Some couples choose to enter into a wed lock union in gatherings that are smaller and much more personal and later are unsure of how to share the good news of their recent marriage with friends and family. This could be done by writing a wedding announcement and sending it to all those who were not able to make it to the splendid wedding ceremony.

Easy Steps to Write a Wedding Announcement

Following are a few steps which will help you in writing a perfect wedding announcement:

  • First off, make a list of all those friends, co-workers and relatives who should receive your wedding announcement.
  • According to the number of recipients and your budget, decide whether you want to purchase ready made cards from nearby card stores or order custom printed cards from a professional printing store. If you choose the second option, make sure you place the card orders a week or two prior to the announcement date of your wedding as printing consumes time.
  • List down all the details you want to include in your wedding announcement message such as the date and location of wedding, full name of bride and groom (changed name of bride, if necessary), details of the their parents and also where the couple plans to live.
  • The wedding announcement message could be written either from side of the couple or the bride’s parents. Example of both styles are below:

Smith and Katy Johnson are happy to announce the wedding of their daughter Jane to Bob, son of John and Sharon Butter.

Jane and Bob Butter are happy to announce their wedding which took place on… (date and place)
